Blogging in BIT320 has definitely been a positive experience for me. From having no idea what a blog was to where I am now, I feel much more aware with advances in the business world and give the credit to BIT320 for that. Although as a procrastinator, at times I hated blogging, I know that it was good for me to keep up with the work even if it was only in order to have something to blog about. There were numerous times when I read recent posts to see other's interpretations of the current material, used the search function to find information about a certain idea I was confused about, and posted my own questions which were always responded to extremely quickly by the professor. In a competitively graded class such as the business school classes, it was comforting to see my classmates struggle as I was at times, and also beneficial to see their success at other times which pushed me to study more.
Another aspect of the blogosphere that I enjoyed was getting to know all my classmates on a different level than just seeing them across the room in class. I think it would have been nice to have a few of the posts more personal and explaining their hobbies, interests, personality, expectations for the class, or whatever else they wanted to share. I think this would have brought people together based on similar characteristics, and the more communication between classmates the more shared knowledge as well.
Overall it was great and I hope it continues to be a part of the BIT curriculum in the future!
